SP Balasubrahmanyam tests negative for COVID-19; condition stable

Popular playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam who had tested positive for coronavirus on August 5 has now tested negative and is in a stable condition. The singer’s son SP Charan confirmed the same through an official statement.

“Dear Media Friends, thanks for your continuous support and prayers for my father… My father is fine and stable and his corona test has become negative… Will keep u posted about the updates. Thanks,” SP Charan said in the statement.

SPB was admitted to MGM Healthcare in Chennai after he tested positive. Initially, he only had mild symptoms but his condition worsened on August 13 and was put on life support. Fans and colleagues of the singer got together on social media and prayed for his speedy recovery.
